Summit Athletics
The 2007-2008 Summit Athletics season started with a succesful soccer team. The coed soccer team finished with a record of four wins and four losses. The four wins were by a combined 16 goals while the four losses were by a combined six goals. Both the wins and the losses were great learning experiences for the children who all exemplified the seven virtues of Summit Charter School with their character all season long. Those members were Taylor Hunter, Elizabeth Millis, Haley Moore, Forrest Baker, Byron Gordon, Evan Iezzi, Andrew Renfro, Wyatt Stinson, Hayden Bates, Janelle Johnson, John Collins, Kevin Dickey, and Spencer Ferlita. The coaching staff was Tyler Kittle and Nick Mayle.
Because of our close partnership with Blue Ridge Middle School, Rita Thatcher participated on their volleyball team and we have Byron Gordon participating on their basketball team.
We hope to be starting the baseball season soon and continuing with our intramural program which has already seen tennis and skiing with future plans for volleyball, basketball, ultimate frisbee, and golf.
